Get Some Awesome Hands On Experience As You Build Some Skills And Super Cool Garden Beds And shelves For The Y’s Community Garden!

We invite youth 5th-8th grades to join Forest City YMCA Program Director Tony Reynolds for this hands on experience in beginner level carpentry skills.

• Learn and practice basic construction skills such as measuring, cutting, and nailing.
• Discover how to read and follow building diagrams to construct a fully functional building.
• Learn the importance of shop safety and learn to be safe using hand tools.
• Develop life skills that will benefit you in many way for years to come!
